Check out this great article from MentorMob's Charles Perry in Techli about the Dig8 program developed by the Science & Entrepreneurship Exchange (SEE) at the Nettelhorst School in Chicago. This amazing program has 8th graders developing an entrepreneurial venture over the course of a school year. They brainstormed a solution to a problem, developed designs (with help from Beyond Design) and created prototypes while simultaneously researching potential customers, pricing, and startup costs. Catapult's April Lane was on hand to judge the competition that helped select one product that will be manufactured here in Chicago.

Catapult Chicago also hosted the 5th grade class in April. The 5th graders are going through the same program as the 8th graders and spent the school year developing a unique-looking pencil case. The students wowed Catapult residents and local investors with their pitch for funding.
