Taplingua: Making Language Learning More Accessible

Taplingua

Check out this amazing article in Blackline Review featuring Taplingua co-founder Dr. Cristina Guijarro Cazorla.   In the article, Cazorla talks about how her family's historic struggles in Spain inspired her to create a language learning app that would be affordable and accessible to all.  Currently available for English-to-Spanish, the Spanish-to-English version will be finished soon.  Cazorla hopes this will give immigrants more accessibility to learning English and thus more opportunities in life. Feedback on the app has been extremely positive, as users love the ability to jump right into speaking Spanish.  According to co-founder Santanu DasGupta, the app has been especially popular among summer  travelers heading to Spanish-speaking destinations as well as among past Spanish-speakers who want a refresher course.   Taplingua stands out from the language learning crowd because it's context and situational focused, making it practical, easy to use and fun.
